The Phoenician is an immersive luxury property with hotel art that turns every stay into a transformational hospitality experience for their guests

In curating art for the public areas and guest rooms of The Phoenician’s resort area, Kevin Barry Art Advisory provided art for interior designers from Parker Torres Design that took inspiration from the Southwestern settings and the area’s tradition of hospitality. Abstracts, earth tones and desert-inspired imagery can be found across the property, inspiring guests to relax and absorb the serenity of their surroundings. A gorgeous wood and gold accented wall piece inspired by the blooms of the saguaro cactus flowers greets guests as they enter the lobby. Tiny, delicate hummingbirds flit across textured gold panels through the hotel corridors, a nod to the diminutive birds who migrate through the region in large numbers throughout the year.

The art placement for the spa was driven by the legend of the phoenix: a mythical creature whose tale is told across many world cultures and acts as an enduring symbol of beauty, strength and rejuvenation. To represent this legendary animal, KBAA followed a color scheme of white and gold, with an art centerpiece of an abstracted sculpture of the bird in white with gold tips. A celebration of the individual spirit with a contemporary feel, the art sourced by our hospitality art advisors elevates the space through thoughtful, high-end touches designed to enhance the overall spa experience.
