The Charmant Hotel

La Crosse, WI Collaborators Simeone Deary Highlights Commissioned reproductions of vintage candy tins set in a shadowbox referencing the hotel's history Project Scope Guest rooms
We believe it is just as important for small pieces to tell a story as it is for the biggest statement sculpture

Charmant (French for “charming”) was the name of the line of chocolates once produced during the candy factory’s 35 years in operation in the early 1900s. This candy factory-turned-boutique hotel celebrates its sweet past through guest rooms decorated with custom-designed vintage candy tins designed by our in-house graphics team, as well as framed archival advertisements from the factory’s past to create a bedroom gallery wall as unique as the hotel itself. As a further nod to the building’s history, our hospitality art advisors commissioned unique wall coverings for the guest rooms made from metal salvaged from the candy factory before its renovation into the Charmant Hotel. If the rumors of the lingering sweet aroma of chocolate in the building are to be believed, we are happy the hotel art adds to the delicious multisensory experience.

Being part of the redesign of the iconic Charmant Hotel with an eye to customizing its guest rooms made this a particularly memorable project for our team. Helping hotels showcase what makes them unique and celebrate their history with thoughtful custom art for hotels is something we take pride in and love to do.
