AVEN is a sleek high-rise apartment aimed at Los Angelenos looking for luxury living in the middle of it all

There’s no denying that Downtown Los Angeles has undergone a major transformation in the last decade and a half. Once a place few visited and even fewer lived, many of DTLA’s neighborhoods have become in-demand residences for the young workforce of the city. AVEN Apartments taps into the need for gorgeous, modern spaces that have all the amenities of a hotel but the feel of high-end loft living. Looking for a team of experienced art consultants who could bring in the right artists and pieces for job, the project’s design team called on Kevin Barry Art Advisory.

The focal points of the KBAA art consultants’ work on this multi-family property are found in two large sculptural pieces. The first is a series of three aluminum abstracts entitled “Daydream” by artist Juan Fontanive that greet residents and guests as they enter the property. Further inside, Los Angeles-based artist Laura Stewart’s custom rope installation made in the AVEN colors of navy, pink and green hangs in the leasing office. Both of these pieces, with their minimalist aesthetic and gold accents, convey the stylish sophistication that AVEN promises its residents.

Custom graphics designed by KBAA’s in-house design team, modular art pieces by Bend Goods, and framed giclées on paper complete the AVEN art collection. The result is an on-trend, polished and sophisticated backdrop for Los Angeles residents who are looking for a home that has a style all its own.
