We have some exciting news to share! We are thrilled to announce that out of nearly 350 submissions, Kevin Barry Fine Art is a finalist in Hospitality Design’s 16th annual HD Awards. Three of our recent projects are up for their Custom Art + Installations category: The Clift Royal Sonesta, The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown, and C. Baldwin Hotel.

The Clift Royal Sonesta HotelSan Francisco, CADesign Firm: Gensler Austin

Focusing on vintage charm and classic 1920s San Francisco themes, Kevin Barry Fine Art’s team of art consultants curated a beautiful art collection across all areas of the hotel, including public spaces and guestrooms.

The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel

The Sound Hotel Seattle Belltown – Tapestry Collection® by HiltonSeattle, WADesign Firm: Hirsch Bedner Associates

Inside the guest rooms and suites, an array of custom giclees in muted colors, art prints of iconic Seattle imagery and Pacific Northwest sights, and sheet music-turned-art are hung throughout. Super graphics featuring Seattle skylines, fractured records, keyboards and sound waves give rooms and suites a one-of-a-kind feeling that is the trademark of Hilton Tapestry properties. Still looking for pieces that make a big statement? Check in on the club lounge, the residences reception and bar, which all feature large-scale murals.

The Sound Hotel

C. Baldwin HotelHouston, TXDesign Firm: Rottet Studio

Texas pride and boss lady vibes are on full display at the C. Baldwin Hotel. For this property, a uniquely Texas-blend of female empowerment and Southern irreverence informed the art curation by Kevin Barry Fine Art, resulting in a boutique hotel with personality to spare.

C. Baldwin Hotel

We want to take a moment to give special thanks to our collaborators on these projects, including Rottet Studio, HBA, Gensler Austin, as well as the many wonderful artists whose work we are proud to have included our art curation.

Winners will be announced on Monday, September 14th, 2020, so until then we’ll be crossing our fingers and wishing best of luck to all the finalists. Remember to look for us in the September issue of Hospitality Design magazine where all the finalists and winners from each category will be featured.

Congrats to all involved!
