Nestled among the peaks of the Rocky Mountains in historic Cripple Creek, Colorado, Chamonix Casino Resort reimagines luxury through a thoughtful blend of European elegance and Colorado comfort. We’re honored that this project was recognized by the 22nd Annual HD Awards, earning both Art: Program or Installation and the evening’s highest distinction, Best in Show: Products. It was an incredible recognition for the collaborative vision shared by Full House Resorts, Foundry Concept & Design Studio, DLR Group, and our talented artists.
The art program at Chamonix draws inspiration from the region’s dramatic landscape and rich mining heritage. Rather than interpreting Colorado literally, the collection translates its mountains, geology, native flora, water, and history through layered textures, handcrafted materials, and contemporary artistry. Throughout public spaces, restaurants, the spa, guest rooms, and suites, each artwork contributes to an immersive guest experience rooted in a profound sense of place.
You’ll discover extraordinary moments around every corner. The monumental gold-leaf textile by Olga de Amaral welcomes guests with a tribute to Cripple Creek’s mining legacy, while Elise Marcianti’s hand-carved book installation transforms ordinary books into sculptural landscapes inspired by the surrounding mountains. Pressed florals, Murano glass, custom furniture, mixed media, and thoughtfully curated found objects continue the narrative, inviting guests to slow down and uncover another layer of Colorado’s elemental beauty.
We’re incredibly grateful to our partners and collaborators for helping bring this award-winning destination to life. Explore more of the Chamonix Casino Resort art program in the Fall ‘26 of ELEVATE by KBAA.
