Bridgewater Country Club

A remodel that redefines what country clubs should look like

With country club interior design, the impulse is to go traditional. Working with the team at Parini Design on the remodel of Indiana’s preeminent country club, KBAA curated an art package that challenges guests expectations without sacrificing sophistication and charm.

The art collection provided by KBAA’s art advisors includes several gallery walls that feature a variety of eye-catching, mixed media artworks. To amplify the one-of-a-kind feel of the pieces, custom frames were fabricated with a whimsical flair in mind. Included in the art selections for the gallery walls are several custom concepts created by our in-house design team. Using the talents of KBAA’s artists allowed us to stretch our creative muscles and bring the design directive to life through inventive original pieces. Examples include a take on a Renaissance oil portrait with the gentleman’s face replaced by a golf ball, and an image of a dog on horseback set in a custom-designed plaid frame. In order to weave pieces of the club’s history into the design narrative, we included a custom-framed large photo print of the club’s founders for the mantle of one of the club’s lounges.

In addition to gallery walls, KBAA sourced and designed several wall-length found object art installations. Inspired by the activities central to country club life and leisure, vintage rackets and golf clubs are displayed in artful groupings throughout several of the lounge seating areas.
