Born in 1964, Todd Williamson is a Los Angeles-based contemporary artist who has exhibited around the world most recently in Germany, Italy, Houston, and New York, and his works are featured in prestigious museums such as the Deggendorf City Museum, MAC Museum, NUMA New Museum in Los Gatos, and MOAH in Lancaster. Williamson has won two Foundation grants and the Prize for Creativity from the Pollock Krasner Foundation. Named one of the 2009 Artists to Watch by Art & Living Magazine, he also received an Icon Award from the Beverly Arts, “Best Foreign Artist” award -Bluduemila Sporte & Arte, two Abstract Awards from Artslant Online, an Artistic Merit from Art 1307 in Naples, Italy, Curators Award from the Micro Museum- Brooklyn, NY and has letters of accomplishment from 2 Prime Ministers of Germany. His project “Processional,” was chosen as an official exhibition at the 2019 58th Venice Biennale.
Residencies include the American Academy in Rome, Nuove Opere Napoltane in Naples, the Skopelos Foundation in Greece, the Scuola Internazionale di grafica in Venice, and the Louise Bourgeois’ Artists Salon in New York, Williamson is also deeply involved in his community and has served as arts commissioner for West Hollywood and board member for the National AIDS Monument in West Hollywood Park and is currently a board member and advisor for the Los Angeles Beverly Arts.
