It\u2019s so lovely to see the different materiality artists select to achieve these reflective effects. One artist may use glass from an upcycled mirror. Another may sprinkle mica powder into a resin topcoat for extra luminosity. In the bottom right, you can see how artist Adam Colangelo creates stunning works by adding patina to copper. On his website, he shares how you can experiment with the process at home using methods involving ammonia or salt, and vinegar. He even suggests something as simple as burying a piece of copper in your backyard and seeing what nature creates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
