In it, we explore how both the past and future find expression in the present\u2014from a historic hotel to a forward-thinking healthcare space. A multi-year collaboration culminated in a collection of over 650 artworks celebrating a storied and stunning architectural gem. A beacon of culture on the California coastline for almost a century, the building has been reenvisaged as a luxury hotel where heritage and modernity collide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"687\" height=\"882\" src=\"https:\/\/kevinbarry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/KBAA_BlogFeb_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10957\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kevinbarry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/KBAA_BlogFeb_02.jpg 687w, https:\/\/kevinbarry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/KBAA_BlogFeb_02-234x300.jpg 234w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 687px) 100vw, 687px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p align=\"middle\" style=\"font-size:12px;\"><em>A gallery wall features a range of artworks from contemporary abstracts to vintage photography.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also highlight Duarte, California&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/kevinbarry.com\/project\/city-of-hope-duarte\/\">City of Hope Outpatient Center<\/a>, where art and healing intersect. The extensive art program draws inspiration from California&#8217;s diverse natural landscapes and the emotional journeys of patients, creating environments that welcome every visitor wherever they might be in their healing process.
